Every 1/4" along the part while forming, SRF-1000 measures, records, and controls the stretch level along the length of the extrusion. This information is cataloged with every part.
Reduced Residual Stress
Stretching over a finite region allows us to preserve mechanical properties and decrease spring-back by inducing just enough stretch to form the part, normally 1-3%. This would eliminate local thinning at the ends of the part.
Shortened Lead Time
No tooling! Part specific dies are not needed, which drastically reduces lead time on new production or prototype parts.
