Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering Intern
Job Type: Part-Time
Experience and Knowledge Required:

Proficiency in computer aided design software CAD, SolidWorks preferred

Machining experience highly preferred

Hands-on experience in designing and building any mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components and/or assemblies

Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment)

Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and their application

CNC Machinist Intern
Job Type: Part-Time
Experience and Knowledge Required:

1-2+ years of experience preferred; less experience may be permissible and will be reviewed on a per candidate basis.

Experience in producing prototype parts taking them from design to product

Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code

Programming with Mastercam

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans

Job requires attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks

Manual dexterity and coordination- the ability to effectively manipulate or assemble objects and operate equipment safely
This person will:

Set up, adjust, and operate basic or specialized machine tools to machine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as mills, lathes, shapers, or grinders.

Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or calipers.

Align & secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, materials on machines.

Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.

Evaluate machining procedures and confer with engineering, or manufacturing personnel to recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.

Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.

Electrical Engineering Intern
Job Type: Part-Time
Experience and Knowledge Required:

Experience with one or more of circuit and PCB development, software/hardware control of electromechanical devices, motion control, Arduinos, robotics, PLCs

Knowledge of components such as: motors, drivers, encoders, contactors, breakers, VFDs, digital and analog I/O
-
Knowledge of C#, Visual Basic and Structured Text programming

Hands on experience with integrating electrical and control systems

Troubleshooting hardware or software issues
-
Control panel and HMI design and implementation
-
Testing to verify functionality
-
Developing operations manuals and training guides
This person will:

Support development of complex electromechanical industrial manufacturing

Requires integration of several electrical components with control hardware and software.

Requires integration of various instrumentation and actuation sub-systems.

On-the-job training will be provided as needed.
