Full-Time

Technical Project Lead

Job Type: Full-Time   Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $208,000/year

This person will:

  • Oversee and manage the technical aspects of the project

  • Perform complex design, integration and build

  • Developmental and testing duties on electro/mechanical equipment

  • Test apparatus and subsystems for new and existing products.

Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • Track record of executing well on project tasks, goals, and timelines

  • 10 years experience of designing and building machine tools

  • Preferred design experience of machines and complex precision assemblies, heavy load assemblies, and hydraulic and electromechanical assemblies 

  • Programming machine control systems

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design programs

  • Finite Element Analysis

  • Must be able to build, assemble, test, troubleshoot and operate a variety of complex mechanical components and associated systems

  • Project management experience

  • Preferred Matlab/Simulink machine simulations, stability analysis, and control algorithm development

Mechanical Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time   Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000/year

This person will:

  • Perform complex design, integration and build

  • Develop and test duties on electro/mechanical equipment

  • Test apparatus and subsystems for new and existing products

  • Carry out and/or assist in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines

Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar major

  • 2+ years experience of designing electro-mechanical systems or similar industry experience

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design programs

  • Experience in design of mechanical and complex precision assemblies, heavy load assemblies, and hydraulic and electromechanical assemblies 

  • Finite Element Analysis

  • Developing qualification test procedures and carrying out those tests

  • Knowledge of mechanical theories, design principles and practices, and design evaluation techniques

  • Proficiency in Mechanical Design for automated machines, including fixtures, grippers, and tooling

  • Preferred machine shop experience with CNC machining, milling, and lathe

  • Preferred experience in MasterCAM

  • Preferred 5+ years experience

  • Preferred proven track record of executing well on project tasks, goals, and timelines

Internships

Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering Intern

Job Type: Part-Time

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Proficiency in computer aided design software CAD, SolidWorks preferred

  • Machining experience highly preferred

  • Hands-on experience in designing and building any mechanical and/or electro-mechanical components and/or assemblies

  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology (principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment)

  • Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and their application

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models

  • Knowledge of machines and tools (designs, uses, repair, and maintenance)

This person will:

  • Perform duties in planning, designing & machining tools, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment

  • Assist with design, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment

  • Set up and help operate a variety of machines to produce precision parts and instruments

CNC Machinist Intern

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • 1-2+ years of experience preferred; less experience may be permissible and will be reviewed on a per candidate basis.

  • Experience in producing prototype parts taking them from design to product

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code

  • Programming with Mastercam

  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans

  • Job requires attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks

  • Manual dexterity and coordination- the ability to effectively manipulate or assemble objects and operate equipment safely

This person will:

  • Set up, adjust, and operate basic or specialized machine tools to machine parts to specifications, using machine tools such as mills, lathes, shapers, or grinders.

  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or calipers.

  • Align & secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, materials on machines.

  • Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.

  • Evaluate machining procedures and confer with engineering, or manufacturing personnel to recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.

  • Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.

Electrical Engineering Intern

Job Type: Part-Time

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience with one or more of circuit and PCB development, software/hardware control of electromechanical devices, motion control, Arduinos, robotics, PLCs

  • Knowledge of components such as: motors, drivers, encoders, contactors, breakers, VFDs, digital and analog I/O

  • Knowledge of C#, Visual Basic and Structured Text programming

  • Hands on experience with integrating electrical and control systems

  • Troubleshooting hardware or software issues

  • Control panel and HMI design and implementation

  • Testing to verify functionality

  • Developing operations manuals and training guides

This person will:

  • Support development of complex electromechanical industrial manufacturing

  • Requires integration of several electrical components with control hardware and software.

  • Requires integration of various instrumentation and actuation sub-systems.

  • On-the-job training will be provided as needed.

Marketing/Business Intern

Job Type: Part-Time

  • Ability to identify and engage with prospective customers

  • Must be able to maintain ongoing communication and interaction with customers

  • Ability to conduct market research and develop content such as websites, brochures, and presentations

  • Must be well-organized and skilled in verbal communication

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

  • Preferred experience with Photoshop or similar programs

This person will:

  • Conduct various marketing, administration, and planning tasks as assigned

  • Assist with clerical and administrative duties including processing data, bookkeeping, file storage/organization as needed

  • Assist with maintaining and reviewing quality management system processes and records
