Fairmount Technologies (FT) is a growing advanced manufacturing company developing tooling-free CNC systems for aerospace and defense applications. Our machines dramatically reduce cost and lead time and are already running on real factory floors.

🚀 Recent milestone: FT was selected for a U.S. Department of Defense APFIT award, accelerating deployment of our systems across multiple Air Force maintenance depots. As production ramps up, we’re expanding our integration and quality team.

We’re looking for a Project Manager to support and drive the execution of engineering and manufacturing projects, ensuring work stays aligned with schedules, priorities, and delivery commitments.

What You’ll Be Working On

You’ll manage day-to-day execution of active projects and work closely with engineering, operations, and leadership to keep things moving forward.

Project Execution (Primary Focus)

  • Manage project schedules, task tracking, and deliverables across multiple active projects

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and vendors)

  • Track progress, identify risks or blockers, and escalate issues as needed

  • Support scope, schedule, and change tracking to maintain alignment

  • Communicate project status clearly to stakeholders and leadership

  • Help drive consistency in project planning and execution practices

Operations & Supply Chain Coordination (Supporting Focus)

  • Coordinate with procurement and operations to align material availability with project schedules

  • Track supplier lead times and flag potential impacts to delivery

  • Support vendor coordination and follow-up as required by project needs

  • Assist in resolving supply-related issues impacting active projects

Quality & Documentation Support (Supporting Focus)

  • Ensure project activities align with internal QMS procedures

  • Support documentation, change tracking, and record-keeping

  • Assist with audits, corrective actions, and process improvement initiatives related to project execution

  • Promote good documentation and communication practices across project teams

Why This Role Is Different

  • Small company → high visibility and real impact

  • Direct exposure to engineering, manufacturing, and leadership

  • Projects tied to real machines and real deliveries

  • Opportunity to grow project management skills in a hardware-focused environment

This role is about execution and coordination, not portfolio ownership or PMO administration.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience and scope of role
     (Typical range: $75,000–$110,000+)

  • Flexible working hours

  • Profit sharing, so you benefit directly from the company’s success

  • Opportunity to earn phantom equity, allowing you to share in the value you help create
(phantom equity provides real economic upside without the complexity or tax burden of traditional equity ownership)

  • Direct access to leadership and decision-makers

  • Opportunity to grow with the company as manufacturing scales

This Role Might Be Right for You If

  • You enjoy coordinating technical teams and keeping projects on track

  • You’re comfortable working across engineering, operations, and suppliers

  • You like organizing work, tracking progress, and solving execution problems

  • You want your work to matter in a small, growing company

  • You have experience supporting or managing engineering or manufacturing projects (typically ~2–5 years)
